Frequently Asked Questions
Boot fitting FAQ
What is boot fitting?
Boot fitting combines the selection of the right boots with specific adjustments to the shape of the foot and individual needs.
What problems can boot fitting solve?
Common concerns include pressure points, insufficient support, an uncomfortable fit, the need for a footbed or fine-tuning. What is possible depends on the boot.
Can I have an existing ski boot or one purchased elsewhere adjusted?
Yes. We inspect these ski boots and adjust them individually where construction and condition allow. The work is charged according to the effort required; a specific result cannot be guaranteed.
How does the foot analysis work with Feetbox EVO and ShooIQ?
Feetbox EVO measures the foot digitally. ShooIQ supports the analysis and boot selection; personal advice remains essential.
Which Sidas footbed is right for me?
Depending on your foot and boot, a pre-shaped 3Feet, thermoformed Custom Live or fully custom Sidas footbed may be suitable. We determine the right option after the analysis.
What does First Fit include?
First Fit applies exclusively to ski or snowboard boots purchased at Gisler Sport. It includes analysis, selection of the right boot and optional heat moulding of suitable liners and shells.
Is First Fit included with a purchase at Gisler Sport?
Yes. It is included with ski or snowboard boots purchased from Gisler Sport and is worth CHF 120.–. For snowboard boots, the technically possible scope may be more limited; additional work is charged separately.
Where is boot fitting available in Arosa?
Basic advice is available at all three locations. Feetbox EVO is available at Poststrasse 65 and at Bananas; more complex work is carried out at Bananas.
What services does Bananas offer?
Services include Sidas Custom footbeds, liner adjustments, grinding, punching, shell adjustments and complex fine-tuning.
Can snowboard boots be adjusted as well?
Yes, for example through advice, foot measurement, custom footbeds and suitable heat moulding. Extensive shell work is usually not possible.
How long does an adjustment take?
That depends on what is needed and the work involved. The booking duration covers advice and initial work; additional work may require more time.
Do I need an appointment?
For new boots or complex boot fitting, we recommend using the online calendar. There is currently no dedicated online appointment for Tschuggen.
What should I bring to the appointment?
Both boots, your usual ski or snowboard socks and any existing footbeds.
