Freeride / Touring Skis

For deep snow, off-piste skiing, and ski touring. These skis can also be used on the slopes. Children's Skis

Skis ranging from 60 to 110 cm are available for children ages 0 to 7, and models ranging from 120 to 150 cm are available for 8- to 15-year-olds. Adult rates apply for those 16 and older. The appropriate category and ski length depend not only on age, but also on height, weight, and skiing ability. Very tall teenagers can benefit from the adult categories and their wider selection.

Testing Skis in Arosa

Not sure which skis are right for you yet? Test different models in real-world conditions. Testing is available at all locations. At Bananas, you’ll find the largest selection and can switch between different models with ease. You’ll need to sign a test agreement at the store where you start. A single pair of skis costs CHF 58 per day; multiple pairs cost CHF 100 per day. A multi-day test is available for up to three days for CHF 200. The test fee can be applied toward the purchase price in accordance with the test agreement.

Yes, you can test skis at all Gisler Sport locations. At Bananas, you’ll find the widest selection and excellent opportunities to try out and compare different models. To participate, you’ll need to sign a test agreement at the branch where you start. This way, you can get to know different skis or snowboards under real-world conditions.

A single pair of skis or a single snowboard costs CHF 58.– for one day of testing. If you’d like to compare multiple pairs of skis or snowboards in a single day, the test costs CHF 100.–. A multi-day test is available for up to three days and costs CHF 200.–. If you make a purchase afterward, the test fee can be credited toward the purchase price in accordance with the signed test agreement.

You may switch between skis and a snowboard once, regardless of the category you booked. Switching from skis to a snowboard and then back to skis is considered a new rental after the second switch. Yes, we rent a complete Ortovox avalanche backpack kit that includes a Direct Voice avalanche transceiver. The package includes an avalanche backpack, the avalanche transceiver, a shovel, a probe, and an emergency kit. The backpack does not have an ABS system. The package is no substitute for alpine experience, safety training, or careful trip planning, and it does not prevent avalanches from occurring.
